INSTALLATION

Steps for installation:
Step 1: Remove the outer carton and inspect the refrigerator/freezer to make sure it has arrived safely at your home. In case you find any transit damage to your refrigerator/freezer, report to your dealer within 24 hours of delivery.
Step 2: To ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, allow for a 1.25 cm space on each side and at the top. Allow for a 1.25 cm space behind the refrigerator. If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections. When installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave a 9.5 cm minimum space between the refrigerator and wall to allow the door to swing open.
Step 3: You can shift the refrigerator by raising the front slightly and sliding it on the rear castors.
Step 4: Rotate the two front levelers, provided below your refrigerator, clockwise to raise the front and anticlockwise to lower it (refer to Fig 1). The front should be slightly above the rear so that the door shuts gently when left open.

Getting connected:

  • Installation and the electrical connection must be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions and in compliance with the local safety regulations.
  • Wait at least two hours before switching the refrigerator on, to ensure that the refrigerant circuit is fully efficient.
  • Plug the cord on the refrigerator into a three-prong grounded outlet and ensure that the electrical point is properly grounded. Do not use extension cords. Do not use an adapter.
  • The refrigerator is designed to operate on a separate 220-240 V, 10 A, 50-60 Hz circuit.
  • Make sure the voltage specified on the rating plate corresponds to that of your home.
  • It must be possible to disconnect the appliance from the power supply by unplugging it or by means of a main two-pole switch installed upstream of the socket. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Adjust the refrigerator settings following the instructions on this User Manual.
  • Wait for at least 3 hours after switching the refrigerator on before you put food into the refrigerator. If you add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil.

Just plug in the refrigerator and follow the instructions given below to discover the convenience of using Intellifresh Pro.
Manual temp – Press the manual temp for 2 seconds to change the temperature manually. Adjust temperature (for the refrigerator) Press the Zone button once for the refrigerator. The Fridge temp icon light will turn on. The plus (+) and minus (-) button offers you the flexibility of selecting the temperature manually as per your choice. To increase the refrigerator temperature, press the plus (+) button. To decrease the temperature press the minus (-) button. The plus (+) and minus (-) icon glows with each press. (Min Temperature: 1°C, Max temperature: 5°C)*
Adjust temperature (for the freezer)
Press the Zone button twice for the freezer. The Freezer temp icon light will turn on. The plus (+) and minus (-) button offers you the flexibility of selecting the temperature manually as per your choice. To increase the freezer temperature, press the plus (+) button. To decrease the temperature press the minus (-) button. The plus (+) and minus (-) icon glows with each press. (Min Temperature: -20°C, Max temperature A 2°C)*
Panel Lock-
You can lock the user interface when not in use. Long press the bottom ‘Modes’ button for 2 seconds to activate/ deactivate the panel lock. All temperatures as per Whirlpool Test conditions
Door Open Alarm
Door open alarm alerts you to close the refrigerator door if it has been left open by mistake for more than a minute. This not only prevents cooling loss but also saves electricity. When the door is closed, the door open alarm automatically tums off.

FOR NON CONVERTIBLE MODELS ONLY
Panel Lock
You can lock the user interface when not in use. Long press the modes button for 2 seconds to activate/deactivate the panel lock. If UI is idle for 1 Minute (no key press), then the key lock segment gets automatically activated and the current temperature state is displayed. To change any setting, unlock the user interface.
Intetlisense mode – It intelligently controls the temperature in your refrigerator as per load, weather, and usage pattern so that you get perfect cooling always. When you switch on the refrigerator for the first time, this mode will be automatically activated and the IntelliSense icon will be turned on. Once activated, the Intellisense mode feature works continuously in the background while the product is on.

To decrease the temperature press the -(Minus) icon button. The +(Plus) and -(Minus) icon glows with each press. (Min Temperature : -22°C, Max temperature :-12°C)’
Modes –
Fast Freeze – This mode makes ice super quick. It can be used in the event of guests coming in at short notice and to fulfill party needs. Press the Modes button once to activate. Fast Freeze icon light will glow when the mode is activated. Once activated, this mode will run for 120 minutes and after that, the icon light will stop glowing. The refrigerator will automatically return to its earlier cooling mode. However, if you want to deactivate it then press the Modes button to select the desired mode.

Quick Chill
This mode helps to Chill Beverages even in the hottest summers. Press the Modes button twice to activate. Quick chill icon light will glow when the mode is activated. Once activated, this mode will run for 8 hours and after that, the icon light will stop glowing. The refrigerator will automatically return to its earlier cooling mode. However, if you want to deactivate it then press the Modes button to select the desired mode.
Eco Mode-
This mode leads to power savings and is great when you want your refrigerator to use minimal electricity. Press the Modes button thrice to activate. Eco mode icon light will glow when the mode is activated. The mode gets deactivated if the door opens or you press any key on the user interface.
Door Open Alarm
Door open alarm alerts you to close the refrigerator door if it has been left open by mistake for more than a minute. This not only prevents cooling loss but also saves electricity. When the door is closed, the door open alarm automatically turns off.

Adjust temperature (for the refrigerator) – Press the Zone button once for the refrigerator. The refrigerator icon light will turn on. To control the temperature of your refrigerator, press the temp button.

RC Setting Usage Condition
Auto Automatically adjust the temperature in the refrigerator so that you get perfect cooling always. This is the default and recommended setting.
Low During winters or when there is not much food in the refrigerator
Mid Can be used in normal usage
High During extreme summers or when you want faster cooling

Replacement of Freshonizer

  • Freshonizer should be replaced every 6 months for optimum performance.
  • To replace Freshonizer, press snap & pull in the vertical direction. Push down a new one. (Refer to the image).
  • Please contact Whirlpool service to purchase replacement parts.”

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning your refrigerator

Before cleaning, always switch off the power supply and remove the plug from the socket.

  • Remove all shelves and bins. To remove refrigerator shelves, slide them to the front and push them up gently from the front of the shelf and then pull them out.
  • Slide out the Variable Temp Zone and crisper box slide, tilt upwards, and pull out gently.
  • Remove the refrigerator and freezer door bins by pushing up and pulling them out.
  • Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean the refrigerator thoroughly. Take care not to damage the door seals.
  • Allow the refrigerator to dry by leaving the door open for some time.
  • Plug the power cord in and switch the mains on. Allow the refrigerator to cool for some time before placing food inside.

Cautions

  • Do not splash water directly on the refrigerator.
  • Do not work with flammable sprays.
  • Be sure to check the voltage before inserting the power supply cord into the socket.
  • Be sure not to re-insert the power supply cord into the socket within 5 minutes of removing it from the socket.
  • Ensure that the water does not get into the electrical components of your

  • Do not allow water to collect at the bottom of the refrigerator.

MAINTENANCE
Moving your Refrigerator/Freezer
Switch off the mains and disconnect the power cord from the socket. Remove all food items from the refrigerator, freezer, and vegetable drawer. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the refrigerator from the inside and outside. Fasten the doors and interior components using tape to prevent them from moving/opening during transportation.
Lift the refrigerator slightly from the front and slide using castors at the rear.
The lights in the fresh food compartment are LED and do not need to be replaced. If the lights do not illuminate when the door is opened, contact Whirlpool Service to replace the lights.

0.1 Is moisture in the Vegetable Drawer normal?
Ms. Yes. As the water in the vegetables evaporates, it strikes the cold surface of the refrigerator, hence resulting in the formation of water droplets. The humid air over the vegetable is however swept away by the dynamic airflow inside the refrigerator, keeping your vegetables fresh.

Ms. It Is advisable to clean your refrigerator twice a month. You can clean It with warm water and mild detergents.
0.7 What is the use of a Variable Temperature Zone (VTZ)?
Ms.Variable temperature zone is a special compartment that can be used to store fruits, vegetables, and dairy interchangeably.
Change the temperature setting by moving the slider on the zone selector left for fruits/vegetables and right for dairy. As a precaution, please do not store bottles for a longer duration in VTZ since they could freeze and burst.

Ans. The top shelf in the refrigerator is not suitable for vegetables. It is recommended to store vegetables in the Vegetable Drawer or VTZ, which has the desired temperature for keeping vegetables fresh.

Ans Door Open Alarm* buzzer is provided to alert the user when the door is left open for more than a minute. However,
If the door is to be intentionally kept open for more than a minute, the buzzer may be temporarily switched off by pressing the Door Open Alarm* switch.
