Unpack

Make sure your wireless headphone package came with the following items, then continue to the next page to start setting up!

1. Install the headphone batteries

To install batteries in the headphones:

  1. Remove the ear cushion from the headphones’ right earcup. This exposes the headphones’ two battery compartments.
  2. Insert the two provided rechargeable batteries. Make sure you match the polarity (+/) of each battery compartment.
  3. Line up the posts on the ear cushion with the holes on the earcup and press the ear cushion back onto the earcup so that it snaps in place.

2. Power the charging cradle/transmitter

  1. Plug the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the charging cradle/ transmitter
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a working outlet or surge protector.

3. Charge the headphones

Before you use the headphones for the first time, make sure you give them a full charge. Leave the headphones in the charging cradle for 24 hours for this first charge to ensure maximum battery life.

  1. Make sure the headphones’ power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Place the headphones on the cradle/transmitter as shown here. Make sure the headphones’ charge contacts are touching the charge prongs on the cradle/transmitter.

The green CHARGE indicator on the cradle/ transmitter’s front panel illuminates while the headphones are charging.

WARNINGS:
Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Never use non-rechargeable batteries to replace the rechargeable (AAA size) batteries supplied.
When the headphones are not in use, move the switch to the OFF position to avoid damaging the batteries.
Always ensure that the headphones are switched to the Off position while the batteries are charging.
Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

IMPORTANT: This unit should be operated with rechargeable batteries only. When replacing the batteries or when disposing of the unit, always comply with applicable laws relating to the disposal of batteries. Please place them in a proper disposal container to ensure that they are eliminated safely and in an environmentally friendly way.

REPLACING BATTERIES The rechargeable batteries supplied with your wireless headphones should last a long time. If, however, you need to replace them, follow the directions for installing the headphone batteries. Make sure you use AAA rechargeable batteries.

4. Connect the cradle/transmitter to an audio source

The cradle/transmitter can be connected to the headphone jack of many kinds of audio devices (like TVs, audio systems, VCRs, MP3 players, smartphones, or computers). It can also be connected to the RCA stereo jacks (like those found on many TVs) using the adapter provided.

To connect to your audio device:

  1. Find the headphone jack or other audio output on your audio device.
Note: For best results with a TV, use its fixed audio output.
  2. Find the cable that runs from the back of the cradle/transmitter.
  3. Connect to your audio device using one of the methods below.
For headphone jacks, plug the end of the cradle/transmitter’s cable directly into the jack.
For RCA stereo jacks, plug the cradle/ transmitter’s cable into the provided Y Adapter. Then plug the adapter’s RCA stereo connectors into the audio device’s stereo jacks.

5. Start playing audio

Turn on your audio device if it’s not already turned on. For variable volume sources (ones with volume adjustment), make sure the volume is around 50%. Then start playing audio on your device. The cradle/transmitter’s red POWER indicator lights up as soon as it’s powered and senses an incoming audio signal.

6. Turn on the headphones

Put the ON/OFF switch on the headphones in the ON position. Make sure the headphones are not too loud! (Use the volume dial on the headphones to adjust headphone volume.) Then put the headphones on and enjoy!

If you hear interference, press the AUTO TUNE button on the headphones (the indicator light next to the AUTO TUNE button comes on). For best results, try auto tuning the headphones at a distance of around 20 feet (7 meters) from the cradle/transmitter.

If you don’t notice an improvement after several attempts at auto tuning, try changing the channel setting on the back of the transmitter. Then press the AUTO TUNE button on the headphones to find the new channel.

Note: The transmitter automatically switches off after approximately four minutes without an audio signal (or if the audio signal that it receives from the audio source is too weak for proper reception). Once the signal returns to an acceptable level, then the transmitter automatically switches on again.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Make sure the audio cable from the cradle/transmitter is connected properly to your audio source’s audio output jack(s).

DISTORTION

  • Make sure the headphones’ indicator light next to ON/OFF switch is illuminated. If not, press AUTO TUNE on the headphones until it lights.

After placing headphones in/on your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level. Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss. Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it.
