For your safety

Read this important information carefully before you use the appliance and keep it for future reference.
General Warning
– DO NOT use carbonating bottles from other brands. This can damage the machine and lead to safety risks.
– DO NOT carbonate anything other than plain water. If the water contains sugar or other compounds the valves could malfunction and it could be dangerous to use the product.
– DO NOT add fruit slices, ice, and flavor in the carbonating bottle. Add flavor only AFTER carbonation.
– DO NOT carbonate into an empty carbonating bottle.
– DO NOT move the soda maker when it is carbonating.
– DO NOT carbonate for over 5 seconds.
– Always use your soda maker in an upright position.
– Always keep the soda maker away from any source of heat or direct sunlight.
Use it in room temperature.
– Keep the soda maker away from children. It is not recommended to be used by children under 12 years old without adult supervision.
Carbonating bottle
– Fill the bottle with clean and cold water only up to the fill line.
– NEVER wash the plastic bottle in dishwashers. DO NOT wash it in hot water exceeding 40 ℃.
– DO NOT use other bottles not specifically designed for Philips soda makers.
Your Philips soda maker is designed to use only with the Philips carbonating bottle. The use of other bottles is not recommended. Damages resulting from
the use of a bottle other than a Philips carbonating bottle are not covered by the warranty.
– Philips bottles are clearly marked with an expiration date. Do not use the carbonating bottle after the expiry date.
– Never use a bottle that has been deformed, discolored or scratched. Before each use, check the expiration date on the bottle, and check for damage and deformation. Replace expired, damaged or deformed carbonating bottles with new ones.
– Never put the bottle in the freezer.
– Always keep the bottle clean with the cap on to avoid bacteria and bad smell.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) cylinder
– Carefully check the cylinder and cylinder valve for any damage before using the soda maker. If any problems are found, do not use the cylinder and the soda maker and please contact customer services.
– Best before date: see the date indicated on the cap or on the head sleeve, or at the bottom of the cylinder.
– Do not breathe the gas contained in the cylinder. It is forbidden to alter or modify the cylinder and valve integrity.
– Remove the carbonating bottle before installing the cylinder.
– It is forbidden to remove and/or handle the cylinder while the soda maker is working.
– Always keep the cylinder away from any sources of heat and direct sunlight, keep in a cool and ventilated place. It is forbidden to expose the cylinder to temperatures higher than 50°C.
– A high concentration of CO2 can cause asphyxiation (EIGA-As). It contains liquefied gas; it may explode when heated (H280). Liquid contact may cause freezing burns
– Do not put the cylinder into the freezer and/or into the fridge. If frozen do not use it and keep it away from the body.
– Do not use the content for babies’ food preparation.
– Do not alter and/or modify the cylinder and the valve.
– Keep away from children.
– DO NOT attempt to puncture, throw or burn the cylinder.
– DO NOT transport the soda maker with the cylinder attached.
– The use duration of the cylinder depends on the use frequency.

Before creating fun

Installing the gas cylinder

  1. Place the Philips soda maker in an upright position and on a flat surface.
    Remove the carbonating bottle before installing or replacing the cylinder.
    Remove the drip tray grid and then carefully lay the soda maker down on the side.
  2. Remove seal and cap from the CO2 cylinder. Carefully insert the cylinder through the hole at the bottom. Don’t drop the cylinder into the hole. When you feel that it reaches the bottom, begin screwing the cylinder clockwise until it is fastened. Don’t screw too hard since this might break the threads holding the gas cylinder in place. A2-1
  3. When you need to replace the gas cylinder, lay the soda maker down on the side and unscrew it counterclockwise and then carefully pull it out of the compartment.A2-2

Let the fun begin

  1.  Fill the carbonating bottle
    Rinse the carbonating bottle with cold water before you use it for the first time. Fill the carbonating bottle with cold, clean water up to the marked filling line.A3-1
  2. Attach the carbonating bottle
    Screw the carbonating bottle into the carbonating bottle socket. Screw counterclockwise if viewed from above. Don’t screw too hard – just make sure the carbonating bottle sits properly.A3-2
  3. Carbonate the water
    Press the button downwards firmly until you hear a sound from the valve.
    The carbonation time is 2-3 seconds for each time.A3-3
    NOTE:
    · NEVER continuously carbonate for over 5 seconds each time. It can lead to gas waste or personal injury.
    · You can add more carbonation to the water by repeating the carbonating process.
  4. Ventilate the bottle
    When hearing a buzzing sound after 3 seconds, you should release the button back to a horizontal position. Please allow the button to release itself.
    The remaining pressure in the carbonating bottle will be released with a puff sound. Then the sparkling water is ready. You can unscrew the carbonating bottle and enjoy it now.A3-4

Cleaning

Rinse the carbonating bottle
– Rinse the carbonating bottle before the first use.
– Use clean cold water, fiber brush with a mild detergent.
– Do not use solvent, strong detergent cleaner or abrasive cleaners to clean.
NOTE:

  • Never wash the Philips carbonating bottles in a dishwasher. Clean the soda maker
  • DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or solvent cleansers to clean. |
  • Wipe the drip tray to keep it dry.

PROPER DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT

Please recycle your expired and damaged carbonating bottles in accordance with local recycling laws. The packaging materials of Philips products are made of recyclable materials. Contact your local authority for further information on recycling.
The soda maker is suitable for domestic use. If for commercial use, the product life may be shortened.

This product includes a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. If you need more information, please visit: www.Philips.com/water.
Within two years from the date of purchase, you will receive free warranty service for any damage caused by the manufacturing process or components under normal operation confirmed by our maintenance service.
The warranty service does not include frequently replaced consumable components (filter cartridge, granular activated carbon, ion exchange resin, hollow fiber membrane, gas cylinder, carbonating bottle, etc.), auxiliary devices, transportation fee and door-to-door service.
Please show the proof of purchase to the service personnel during maintenance.
The guarantee is not valid if a defect is due to damage caused by incorrect use, poor maintenance or if alterations or repairs have been carried out by persons not authorized.
For the appliance to be used correctly, the user should strictly adhere to all instructions included in the instructions for use and should abstain from any actions or uses that are described as undesired or which are warned against in the instructions for use.
