Intended use

This product is suitable for vacuuming up loose, dry dirt, e.g. dust, lint or crumbs on smooth flooring and low pile carpets. Only use the product indoors. This product is only intended for private, non-commercial use. Only use the product for the intended purpose. Any other use than previously mentioned or product modification is prohibited and can result in injuries and/or product damage. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage arising from improper use.

KEEP ALL SAFETY NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!

  •  DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. There is a danger of suffocation. Keep children away from the product.
  • DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries are not intended for children. Do not leave batteries lying around. There is  a danger that these will be swallowed by children or pets. If they are accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
  • This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those lacking experience and/or knowledge, as long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and they understand the associated risks.
  • Verify the line voltage matches that specified on the charging dock 2 .
  • Only use the original rechargeable battery and charging dock 2 included from the manufacturer. Never use primary batteries. For more information about the battery please see chapter “Technical data“.
  • Never use the charging dock 2 if damaged.
  • Handle the mains lead 4 with care to avoid damage. Do not use the mains lead 4 to move or pull the product or the charging dock 2 . Do not allow the product to run over the mains lead 4 and keep it away from heat sources.
  • If the mains lead 4 is damaged it must be replaced by a qualified service technician to avoid dangers.
  • Do not use the product if damaged due to
    • falls,
    • damage,
    • ingress water,
    • outdoor use
      and not working properly. Have the product repaired by the manufacturer or its customer service department.
  • Do not use the product in rooms with children.
  • Do not use the product on wet or damp floors.
  • Do not use the product near open fire.
  • Do not use the product in temperatures over +40°C or below +10°C.
  • Remove obstacles before use, for example power cords, toys and other objects.
  • Tuck rug edges under the rug. Do not allow curtains and tablecloths to touch the floor.
  • Try to position furniture properly.
  • Test the product in areas with stairs. This allows you to verify the product detects the edge of the drop off.
  • Do not stand in the way of the robot vacuum cleaner. Otherwise the robot vacuum cleaner will be unable to clean these.
  • Keep hair, clothing and fingers away from the openings and operating parts of the product.
  • Do not allow the product to vacuum up items which could clog the product, for example stones, paper waste, etc.
  • Do not allow the product to vacuum up flammable materials, for example fuel or toner from printers or photocopier.
  • Do not allow the product to vacuum up burning items, for example cigarettes, matches, ashes and other objects which could cause a fire.
  • Do not use the product if the suction opening is blocked. Remove dust, hair, cotton wool, etc., to allow air to flow freely in the suction opening.
  • Verify the dust collector 17 and the filters 6 , 25, 26 are properly installed before use.
  • Check the area to be cleaned before every use and observe the safety notes and information about preparing the room.
  • Check the charging dock, mains lead or mains adapter for damage before every use.
  • Regularly check and clean the filters and the dust collector to extend the life of your product.
  • Never use the product without filters to prevent damage to the motor and shorten the life of the product.
  • Always switch off the product before transporting it.
  • Fully charge the product at least once a month to prevent deep discharge, thus battery damage.
  • Do not cover or tape off the anti-drop sensors on the product. Otherwise the product will be unable to navigate.
  • Regularly clean the anti-drop sensors. If the floor sensors are dirty the product may fall down stairs or landings.
  • Be aware that the product has no anti-fall sensors on the back.
  • Only use the product with the remote control within sight.
  • When using the product, inform any others in the room so nobody steps on or trips over the product.
  • Discontinue using the product if the plastic parts are cracked or deformed. Always replace damaged parts with genuine spare parts.

 Safety instructions for batteries / rechargeable batteries

  • DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
  • Swallowing may lead to burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
  •  DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
  • Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
  • Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/ rechargeable batteries

  • Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators /direct sunlight.
  • If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
  •  WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
  • In the event of a leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
  • Only use the same type of batteries / rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries / rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.

Risk of damage of the product

  • Only use the specified type of battery / rechargeable battery!
  • Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product.
  • Use a dry lint-free cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
  • Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.

Robot vacuum cleaner only

This product features a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The rechargeable battery must be removed or replaced by the manufacturer or their service centre or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, you must indicate this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Set-up

Charging the product

Fully charge the product before using it for the first time.

It takes approx. 5 to 6 hours to charge. The charging process is also indicated in the display 1 .

  • Set up the charging dock 2 and connect the mains lead 4 .
  • Place the charging dock 2 flush against a wall.
    Note: Keep 1m from the left / right and 2m from the front clear.
    Note: Do not place the charging dock 2 near stairs.
  • Switch on the power switch 9 before charging the product (Position “–“). The product will light up when charging, even when the power switch 9 is set to position “O“.
  • Place the product in the charging dock 2 and position it according to the charging contacts 3 .
  • You can alternatively directly connect the mains lead 4 to the charging socket 10 on the product.

Note: The product sometimes corrects its position in the charging dock.

Note: The area around the charging dock 2 must not have mirrors or other highly reflective objects within 15cm of the floor. If necessary, cover these.
CAUTION! Keep the charging dock 2 out of direct sunlight.
CAUTION! Change the position of the charging dock 2 as little as possible.

Attaching the side brushes

  • Install the side brushes 20 according to the slot colour, pushing the brushes onto the colour pins.
  • Verify the side brushes 20 are secure.

Switch the product on/off

Press the power switch 9 on the side of the product. “–“ is on, “O“ is off. If the “Start / Pause” button 12 lights up green, the product was successfully switched on.

Note: Do not switch off the product after use. Keep the product in the charging dock 2 so it will be ready for the next vacuuming.
Note: Pressing the power switch 9 will erase the date, time and vacuuming schedule.

Operation

Due to the complexity of domestic environments the product may skip some areas. For better cleaning results we recommend using the product daily.

  • Remove any objects prior to use, for example power cables, toys and other objects.
  • Tuck rug edges under the rug. Do not allow curtains and tablecloths to touch the floor.
  • Try to position furniture properly.
  • Test the product in areas with stairs. This allows you to verify the product detects the edge of the drop off.
  • Do not stand in the way of the robot vacuum cleaner. Otherwise the robot vacuum cleaner will be unable to clean these areas.

Find the robot vacuum cleaner

When the “Find robot vacuum cleaner“ button 31 on the remote control is pressed, a beep tone sounds. This allows you to determine the position of your robot vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning

  • Press the “Start / Pause” button on the robot vacuum cleaner 12 or the remote control 28. The “Start / Pause” button on the robot vacuum cleaner 12 will light up.
  • When the “Start/Pause“ button 12 flashes, the robot vacuum cleaner will start in “Classic mode“.

Pausing

  • Press the Start /pause button on the robot vacuum cleaner 12 or the remote control 28 during cleaning to pause the cleaning mode.
  • With the robot vacuum cleaner paused, you can press the directional buttons 27 on the remote control to have it move left / right / forwards / backwards

Note: If you control the vacuum with the direction keys 27, it will not vacuum.
Note: If pause more than 10 minutes the robot vacuum cleaner will enter Sleep mode and the “Start / Pause” button 12 will go off. Press the “Start / Pause” button on the robot vacuum cleaner 12 or the remote control 28 again to exit Sleep mode. Then press the button corresponding to the mode of your choice to resume cleaning.

Note: When the product resumes after being paused, it may recalculate the area and may clean areas it has already cleaned.
Note: If you own two robot vacuum cleaners it may be possible to operate both at the same time using one remote control.

Cleaning modes

The product features different cleaning modes for better results. You can select the modes by pressing the key in the control panel, the remote control or in the app.

Virtual wall

The virtual wall 5 divides your house / your apartment into separate areas in order to improve the cleaning efficiency of the product. For better performance, place the virtual wall 5 at a door or in front of a of a passage less than 3m wide.

  • The virtual wall 5 creates an invisible barrier which blocks the product across a length of up to 3m.
  • Before using the virtual wall 5 you need to install the 2 AA batteries (included). Open the battery cover and insert the batteries. Please note the indicated polarity.
  • Set the switch on the virtual wall 5 to “ON“ to switch it on.
  • The virtual wall 5 must be positioned so that the laser is parallel to the floor and the battery compartment is on the underside.
  • Set the switch on the virtual wall 5 to “OFF“ when not in use.
  • Position your robot vacuum cleaner in the “Cleaning area“ as shown.

Operation via the LIDL Home app

The product can be operated remotely via the LIDL Home app.

  • Search for “LIDL Home” in the App Store / Play Store and install the app.
  • To operate, start the LIDL Home app and follow the instructions.
