I) Integrated WLAN & Bluetooth function

  • IC: 10407A-TBX306FA

Wireless LAN Integrated WLAN & Bluetooth function marketed in the USA and Canada does not support nor function in the extended channels (12ch, 13ch).
The IC number for the Integrated WLAN & Bluetooth function is indicated on the label affixed to the bottom side of your device.
II) Low power license-exempt radio communication devices (RSS-247):
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause interference, and
  2. this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

Usage of this device is limited to indoors in the band 5150-5250MHz
III) Exposure of humans to RF fields (RSS-102):
Lenovo products employ low gain integral antennas that do not emit RF field in excess of Health Canada limits for the general population; consult Safety Code 6, obtainable from Health Canada’s Web site at www.hc-sc.gc.ca/rpb
The radiated energy from the antennas connected to the wireless adapters conforms to the IC limit of the RF exposure requirement regarding IC RSS-102, Issue 5 clause 4.2.

YOUR MOBILE DEVICE MEETS FCC AND IC LIMITS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) adopted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC). These limits include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 1.6W/kg.
Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The highest SAR values under the FCC and IC guidelines for your device models are listed below:

Maximum SAR for this model and conditions under which it was recorded.
FCC 1g SAR Limit(1.6W/kg) Body-worn Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 0.89W/kg
Chile 1g SAR
Limit(1.6W/kg)
Body-worn Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 0.89W/kg

During use, the actual SAR values for your device are usually well below the values stated. This is because, for purposes of system efficiency and to minimize interference on the network, the operating power of your mobile device is automatically decreased when full power is not needed for the call.
The lower the power output of the device, the lower its SAR value.
If you are interested in further reducing your RF exposure then you can easily do so by limiting your usage or simply using a hands-free kit to keep the device away from the body.
For model: Lenovo TB-X306FA
