Operation

The connect module requires a working GPS and mo-bile data connection in order to function. The connect module incorporates movement sensors, a global satellite navigation system and mobile communications. These enable the ConnectModule to identify suspicious movements of the eBike, establish the location of the eBike and sound an alarm on the bicycle itself. Position and movement data is displayed to the owner of the eBike through the app eBike Flow. The connect module provides additional services, such as <eBike Alarm>, which is available to the end customer in the app eBike Flow. More detailed information about the individual services of the app eBike Flow can be found in the app itself. Charges apply for the use of some services. Details can be found in the app eBike Flow.

Start-up
As soon as a ConnectModule is installed on an eBike, it can be activated through the app eBike Flow. This is only necessary once. Services such as the <eBike Alarm> can be activated and used through the app eBike Flow.

Switching on/off
The connect module does not need to be switched on or off separately. Provided the ConnectModule has a power supply and the relevant services are activated, it will send data to the bicycle owner.
The connect module has its own internal battery, so its services are not dependent on the eBike battery’s state of charge. The charge level of the internal battery can be viewed through the app eBike Flow. If the internal battery’s state of charge is critical, an eBike battery should be inserted and the Bosch eBike charger should be connected.

Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

The connect module requires no maintenance. In the event of damage or fault, contact an authorized dealer directly. If services are not functioning despite being activated, please get in direct contact with the bicycle dealer from whom you bought the ConnectModule. If you hand over your eBike to a bicycle dealer for maintenance, it is recommended to temporarily deactivate the <eBike Lock> and <eBike Alarm> services. This will prevent alarms being falsely triggered.

Transport
Whenever you transport your eBike (e.g. in a car trailer, on a train or plane, etc.), we recommend de-activating all the individual services or activating the <Transport mode>. This will then deactivate any communication from the ConnectModule. This will prevent alarms being falsely triggered.

After-sales service and advice on using products
If you have any questions about the eBike system and its components, contact an authorized bicycle dealer. For contact details of authorized bike dealerships, please visit www.bosch-ebike.com.

Battery Recycling Program
The drive unit, on-board computer incl. operating unit, battery, speed sensor, accessories and packaging should be disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
