IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please read all instructions before using this fan.
  2. Only use this fan as described in this manual. Other non-recommended use may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  3. Only connect the fan to a single-phase power socket with the current as stated on its type plate.
  4. Connect power after the fan has been fully assembled. Unplug from outlet when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Disconnect the fan when not in use. Do not tug at the power cord to disconnect the plug.
  5. Supervision is needed when the fan is used anywhere near children. This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely.
  6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  7. Unwind the power cord completely. An incompletely unwound power cord can lead to overheating and cause a fire. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands. Position the power cord so that nobody can trip over it and where the socket can be reached easily.
  8. Do not use an infinitely variable speed controller. This can lead to overheating, fire, electric shock, or faults in the appliance.
  9. Do not operate the fan without the protective front and rear grilles in position. Do not touch the rotating fan blades with any part of the body. This can cause personal injury and damage.
  10. Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other object through the grille when the fan is running.
  11. Do not operate the fan if it is damaged or might be defective, or if it is not working properly. Remove the power plug from the socket.
  12. Do not use the fan anywhere near easily inflammable gases or substances such as solvents, lacquers, glues, etc.
  13. The fan is only designed for private use in indoor rooms and is not intended for outdoor or for commercial use. Do not use the fan anywhere near a bathtub, a shower or a swimming pool, or anywhere else where water could splash.
  14. Do not plunge the fan into water or any other liquids and do not pour water or any other liquids over the fan.
  15. Place the fan on a firm, even, dry surface. Be sure the fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid overturning. Make sure the fan is standing securely so that it cannot tip over or fall down. Maintain a safe distance of at least 50 cm from other objects.
  16. Clean the fan regularly by following the cleaning instructions.
