Safety Precautions

In order to prevent accidents or injuries to the user, other people, and damage to property, please follow the instructions below.
The following charts indicate the degree of damage caused by wrong operation.

WARNING: Indicates potential hazard that could result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION: Indicates potential hazard that could result in minor injury or property damage.

WARNING:
To avoid risk of electric shock, fire due to short circuit, smoke, burns or injury.

  • Do not disassemble, repair or modify this appliance.
    • Consult the place of purchase or a Panasonic service center.
  • Do not damage the power cord or power plug.
    Following actions are strictly prohibited.
    Modifying, touching on or placing near heating elements, bending, twisting, pulling, pulled over sharp edges, putting heavy objects on top, bundling the mains lead and carrying the appliance by the mains lead.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or power plug is damaged or the power plug is loosely connected to the outlet.
    • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service center or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not plug or unplug the power plug with wet hands.
  • Do not allow infants and children to play with packaging material.
    • It may cause suffocation.
  • Do not immerse the mixer, stand, power cord and power plug in water or splash it with water and/or any liquid.
  • Do not put your face close the beaters or dough hooks when using it.
  • Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or worktop, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not insert any object in the vent or the gaps. Especially metal objects such as pins or wires.
  • Insert the power plug firmly.
  • Clean the power plug regularly.
  • Make sure the voltage indicated on the label of the appliance is the same as your local supply. Also, avoid plugging other devices into the same outlet to prevent electric overheating. However, if you are connecting a number of power plugs, make sure the total wattage does not exceed the rated wattage of the outlet.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
    Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Always keep the infants and children away from the appliance including power cord. Children do not realize dangers that are likely to occur because of improper use of appliances.
    When abnormal or breaking down occurs, discontinue using the appliance immediately and unplug. e. g. for abnormal or breaking down
  • The power plug and the power cord become abnormally hot.
  • The power cord is damaged or power failure.
  • There is abnormal turning noise while in use.
    Please unplug the appliance immediately and contact to the service center for the check or the repair.
  • Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the bowl as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
  • Before turning on the switch, make sure to install beaters or dough hooks on the body.

CAUTION:

  • Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
    • When leaving it, turn the power off.
  • Do not use the appliance in the following locations.
  • On uneven surfaces, on carpet or tablecloths etc.
  • Places where it may be splashed with water or near a heat source.
  • Near any open water such as bathtubs, sinks, or other containers.
  • Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.
  • Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not put fingers between mixer holder and base of the stand.
  • Do not put hot liquid in the bowl.
  • Do not bring hands, spatulas or other utensils, etc. close to the beaters or dough hooks while they are moving.
  • Do not hold the appliance to move by the power plug or cord.
  • Do not get hair, necklace or string of clothes close to the appliance.
    • It may cause injury due to entrainment.
  • Make sure to hold the power plug when unplugging the power plug. Never pull on the power cord.
  • Unplug the power plug when the appliance is not in use.
  • Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing attachment or approaching parts that move in use.
  • Make sure to turn the switch on the “0” position before unplugging. Always disconnect the appliance from the outlet if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
    Do not allow children to use the appliance without supervision.
  • Ensure to operate and rest the appliance as stated on specification table. (See P. EN12 “Specifications”)
  • Ensure to clean the appliance especially surfaces in contact with food after use. (See P. EN11 “How to Clean”)
  • This product is intended for household use only.

Important Information

  • Do not drop the appliance to avoid damaging the appliance.
  • Do not move the stand mixer when the mixer is assembled on the stand.

“0” on the switch is the off position.

Please start from low speed to prevent ingredients from splashing.

How to Use the Hand Mixer

Preparation

Prepare ingredients and bowl

  • Use the deeper bowl to avoid splashing ingredients.
  • Please avoid using plastic or aluminum bowl as they get scratched easily.
  • Do not exceed the quantity of ingredients higher than beater wings.
  • Please use the dough hooks for hard or thick ingredients such as :
    • Bread dough
    • Chilled butter
      • If you wish to use the beaters, place them at room temperature.
Assembling
  1. Make sure the body is disconnected from outlet and switch is on the “0” position.
  2. Insert beaters or dough hooks into the openings on the side of the body.
    Make sure to insert beaters or dough hooks two of each.
  • Match the direction and insert until you hear the click sound.
  • Insert a dough hook with collar into larger opening on the side of the body.

How to Use
  1. Make sure the switch is on the “0” position, then plug in.
  2. Insert the beaters or dough hooks in the bowl.
  3. Turn on the switch to start.
    1. The beaters or the dough hooks lightly hit the bottom of the bowl, and turn on the switch.
    2. Adjust the speed by the usage. (See P. EN6 ”Mixing Guide”)
    3. Move the hand mixer in the bowl to mix equally.
      • When the ingredients are small quantity, it is possible to stir it well by tilting the bowl.
      • Please do not run the hand mixer continuously for 5 minutes or more.
      • Do not pull up beaters or dough hooks when they are still turning.
        ➜ The ingredients may splash.
        When beaters or dough hooks are turning slow or they stop during operation
      • Ensure to turn off the switch, remove the ingredients stuck on beaters or dough hooks.
        ➜ If the ingredients are exceeded amount, decrease the ingredients a little.(If keep using as it is, it may cause malfunction on the motor.)
  4. Turn the switch on the “0” position, then pull up the hand mixer.
  5. Unplug the power plug.

How to Use the Stand Mixer

Preparation

Prepare ingredients and bowl

• Use the bowl provided.
• When mixing small quantity of ingredients, use the hand mixer for better performance.
• Do not exceed the quantity of ingredients higher than beater wings.

Assembling
  1. Make sure the body is disconnected from outlet and switch is on the “0” position.
  2. Set the beaters on the body. (See P. EN7)
    • Do not use the dough hooks on the stand mixer.
    • The ingredients may not mix well.
  3. Place the hand mixer on the stand.
    • Fit the front holes of the body into the projections on the mixer holder .
    • Press down the rear end of the mixer until you hear the click sound.
      • Do not give excessive force when assembling body on the stand.

How to Use

  1. Set the bowl on the turntable.
  2. Set the hand mixer on the stand.
  3. Make sure the switch is on the “0” position, then plug in.
  4. Turn on the switch to start.
    1. Adjust the speed by the usage.(See P. EN6 ”Mixing Guide”)
    2. While mixing the ingredients, turn the bowl anti-clockwise manually.
      • Please do not run the stand mixer continuously for 5 minutes or more.
      • Do not pull up beaters when they are still turning.
      • The ingredients may splash.

When beaters are turning slow or they stop during operation
• Ensure to turn off the switch, remove the ingredients stuck on beaters.
➜ If the ingredients are exceeded amount, decrease the ingredients a little.(If keep using as it is, it may cause malfunction on the motor.)
5. Turn the switch on the “0” position, then unplug.
6. Press the release button on the side of the base and tilt or remove the hand mixer, then remove the bowl.

How to Clean

Disassemble the hand mixer from stand
Press the release button on the side of the base and slide the hand mixer following the arrow as shown.

Disassemble the beaters or dough hooks

Press the eject button to disassemble the beaters or dough hooks.
Ensure not to drop the beaters or dough hooks on the floor etc. It may cause deformations.
The eject button can only be pressed when the switch is on the “0” position.

Cleaning for each part
  • Body/Stand/Turntable
    • Wipe with well-wrung cloth. Do not wash them under the running water or immerse them in the water.
    • It may cause malfunction.
  • Beaters/Dough hooks/Bowl
    • Wash with diluted dish soap (neutral) and a soft sponge.
  • Do not use a dishwasher.
    • It may cause plastic deformations.
  • Do not use the benzine, thinner, cleanser, metal scrubber or nylon side of sponge.
    • It may damage plastic parts.
  • After washing, make sure to drain and thoroughly air dry.
    • It may cause rust.
