INTRODUCTION

In order to ensure safety and efficiency of the product, please read this manual carefully before operating. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.

  1. Use this apparatus in moderate climates only.This product is suitable for indoor use only.
  2. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
  3. To preserve our environment, dispose of used batteries according to your local laws or regulations.
  4. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
    The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on apparatus.
  5. The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  6. The AC mains plug is used as the power disconnect device and it should remain readily accessible and operable during intended use.
  7. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
  8. This equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed in such a way that it does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.

PRECAUTIONS

  • The power cord of the unit should be unplugged from the outlet when the unit will not be used for a long time, or when moving the unit or cleaning.
  • To clean this unit, unplug it from the supply and wipe it with a soft cloth with a small amount of diluted detergent.
    Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
    Do not let water enter the unit. Make sure the unit is completely dry before reconnecting to the supply.
  • Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, refrigerators, stoves or other appliances that may radiate heat.
  • Do not use this unit in a humid or dusty environment. Objects containing water, such as vases, should not be placed on the device.
  • The unit should be repaired by qualified service personnel in the following cases:
    1. The power plug or cable has been damaged;
    2. Objects have fallen or liquid has been spilled on the appliance;
    3. The unit has been exposed to rain;
    4. The unit is functioning abnormally.
  • Never pull the plug from the socket by means of yanking on the cord. Pull the plug from the socket by mean of a firm grasp on the plug

  • Press this button once to pause music being played, Press the button again to resume play

  • Press this button to scan and save FM stations.

  • Previous button

  • Press this button to answer a phone call when connected via Bluetooth

  • Press this button to turn on the speaker or switch to standby mode.

  • Press this button once to switch to Bluetooth mode

  • Press this button to choose Bluetooth/ AUX/FM/USB mode

  • Press EQ to choose between different music effects(FLAT, POP,JAZZ,CLASSIC,ROCK)

  • Press repeatedly to switch between the available light effects or to turn off the lights

  • Turn the bass enhancement function ON or OFF(Note: When ‘BASS’ is on, EQ function does not work.)

  • Aux input:
    Connect to the AUX output of your external device to play compatible files (AUX cable included).

  • USB Input:
    Connect USB memory devices to play compatible mp3 files. (Max. size of USB device that can be connected is 64 GB)

Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the BT button on the unit or the remote control to switch to the BLUETOOTH CONNECT mode.
  2. Open the Bluetooth function on your external device (like a smartphone). Search for ‘XS-N4211’ and connect to it.
  3. Once connected, you can hear a small sound from the speaker.
  4. You can use the  or  key on the unit or the remote control to control the tracks of the external device.
  5. Press and hold the button on the unit to disconnect the bluetooth.

Note: This speaker does not require a password

FM Radio Operating Instructions

Note: When using FM mode, plug the Aux cable provided into the AUX port (as an FM antenna). Leave the other end free.

  1. Press Mode Button on the unit or remote control repeatedly until FM mode is selected. (Display shows FM) to switch to FM Radio mode.
  2. Press SEARCH button on the unit or the remote control to search and save the channels automatically.
  3. Press SEARCH button again to stop the search.
  4. Press or to select previous/next channel.

Troubleshooting

Problem Troubleshooting method
No Power
  1. Ensure that the AC power plug of the speaker is connected properly.
  2. Ensure that there is power at the AC outlet.
No sound or poor sound
  1. Inspect the function and adjust the volume.
  2. Check if speaker is muted
Intermittent music in Bluetooth mode Check if the effective connection distance is exceeded or whether there are obstacles between the speaker and BT device.
Remote control does not work
  1. Ensure that the right source is selected.
  2. Use the remote control within its range without any objects between the remote control and the unit.
  3. Try replacing the batteries ensuring correct polarities as marked.
  4. Aim the remote control towards the receiver on the display screen of the unit.
USB file failure to play
  1. The formats of these files are not supported.Only mp3 files can be played.
  2. The USB device is incompatible with the speaker or the USB is damaged.
Bluetooth can not search or connect
  1. If other bluetooth devices are connected to your phone, try disconnecting these first, then search and connect again.
  2. Turn off the speaker and turn on again, then switch to bluetooth mode.
  3. Turn off and turn on bluetooth on your external device.
FM channels not working properly
  1. Plug the Aux cable provided into the AUX port (as an FM antenna). Leave the other end free.
  2. Try different channels to see if it is a problem with one or two channels.
  3. Try moving to a different position or a different room.
