BOSCH GLI 24 V PROFESSIONAL Flashlight

Safety Rules

Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Protect the battery against heat, e. g., also against continuous sun irradiation and fire. There is danger of explosion.

  • Do not open the battery. Danger of short circuiting.
  •  When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.

Assembly

Battery Charging (Accessory)

A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does not develop its full capacity until after approx. 5 charging/discharging cycles.
To remove the battery 6, press the unlocking buttons 7 and pull the battery downward out of the cordless Worklight. Do not exert any force when doing this. The battery is equipped with a NTC temperature control which allows charging only within a temperature range of between 0 °C and 45 °C. A long battery service life is achieved in this manner.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indicates that the battery is used and must be replaced.
Observe the notes for disposal.

Changing the Light Bulb (see figure A)
  • Before any work on the cordless Worklight, remove the battery.
  • Exercise caution when changing the light bulb! Do not touch the hot light bulb. Allow the light bulb to cool down for at least 10 min-utes. Danger of burns from the hot light bulb.

Note: Use a soft cloth for changing the light bulb. Make sure not to touch the glass bulb with your bare fingers. Otherwise, the light bulb can become damaged.

  •  Turn the screw cap 1 in anticlockwise direction and remove it.
  • Remove the protective lens 8 and the reflector 9.
  • Turn the light bulb 10 approx. 90° in anticlockwise direction and pull it out. A spare light bulb 11 is stored in the base of the housing.
  • Insert a new light bulb 10 and turn it approx. 90° in clockwise direction until it is locked.
  • Insert the reflector 9 into the lamp head without damaging the light bulb 10.
  • Insert the protective lens 8 into the screw cap 1 and screw the screw cap onto the lamp head 3. Ensure that all parts are properly seated.

Operation

Starting Operation

Inserting the Battery

  • Use only original Bosch O-pack batteries with the voltage given on the type plate of your cordless Worklight. Usage of other batteries can cause injuries and lead to danger of fire.

Insert the charged battery 6 into the handle until it can be felt to engage and faces flush against the handle.
Switching On and Off
To switch the cordless Worklight on, press the On/Off switch 5 upward.
To switch the cordless Worklight off, press the On/Off switch 5 downward.

Changing the Position of the Reflector

The lamp head 3 can be swiveled upward to a maxi-mum of 90° by turning in anticlockwise direction.

Changing the Illuminating Beam/Focal Length

By turning the adjustment ring 2, the illuminating beam as well as the focal length of the reflector can be changed.

Operating Instructions

At low temperatures, the luminous efficiency may be lower and the lighting duration shorter.
When using Bosch NiMH batteries, the performance capability is limited at temperatures below – 10 °C.
Soft Grip
The gripping surface 4 (soft grip) reduces the danger of slipping and thereby improves the grip on the cord-less Worklight and the handling.
