Safety
Observe the following safety instructions.
1.1 General information
 ¡ Read this instruction manual carefully.
¡ Keep the instruction manual and the product information safe for future reference or for the next owner.
1.2 Intended use
Only use this appliance:

  •  With genuine parts and accessories. Damage caused by using third-party products is not covered under the warranty.
  • on textiles. ¡ For private use.
  • in rooms that are sufficiently ventilated.
  • Up to an altitude of max. 2000 m above sea level.
    Do not use the appliance:
  • On leather, metal, metallic fibers, foam, skin, hair, animals, or any other non-textile surface.

1.3 Restriction on user group
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 or over and by people who have reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or inadequate experience and/or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and have understood the resulting dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are being supervised.
1.4 Safety instructions
WARNING ‒ Risk of harm to health! Fumes that escape from a damaged battery are dangerous.
▶ Supply fresh air.
▶ If there are any problems, seek medical advice from a doctor.
Liquids that escape from a damaged battery are dangerous.
▶ If these come into contact with the skin, wash immediately with cold water.
▶ If these come into contact with the eyes, seek medical help.
WARNING ‒ Risk of explosion!
A short circuit may cause the battery to explode.
▶ Protect the battery against fire, heat, and constant sunlight.
▶ Protect the battery against water and penetrating moisture.
▶ Never open the battery.
WARNING ‒ Risk of chemical burns!
When the appliance is used, a small number of ozone results as an additional product. Ozone in excessive concentrations can irritate the eyes and mucous membranes.
▶ Never use the appliance near your eyes or mucous membranes.
WARNING ‒ Risk of suffocation!
Children may put packaging material over their heads or wrap themselves up in it and suffocate.
▶ Keep packaging material away from children.
▶ Do not let children play with packaging material.

To avoid material damage to your appliance, accessories or any other objects, follow these instructions.
ATTENTION!
Improper use may damage the appliance.
▶ Never wipe over zips, rivets, buttons or other hard items.
Treating fabric that is too wet may cause small burn marks.
▶ Only treat dry or slightly damp fabrics.
Fabric may become discolored if an area is treated too long.
▶ Always keep the appliance moving.

3.1 Disposing of packaging
The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.
▶ Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately.

4.1 Unpacking the appliance and parts
1. Take the appliance out of the packaging.
2. Take all other parts and the accompanying documents out of the packaging and place them to hand.
3. Remove any packaging material.
4. Remove any stickers or film.

5 Familiarising yourself with your appliance
5.1 Appliance

5.2 Controls
You can use the control panel to configure all functions of your appliance and to obtain information about the operating status.

Battery indicator Meaning
White The appliance is charged. Note: The appliance switches itself off after 5 minutes.
White, flashing ¡ Charging in progress.
The appliance will run for another 10-15 minutes.
Red, flashing The appliance will run for another 10 minutes.
Red Charge the appliance.
Plasma indicator Meaning
White The appliance is ready for use.
Purple Plasma is active.
White, flashing ¡ Maximum treatment time has been reached. ¡  Ventilate the room. ¡ Wait 10 minutes.
¡ Activation area has been pushed in for 20 seconds. Remove the appliance from the
fabric and treat once again.
Purple, flashing The appliance cannot activate the plasma as the clothing is damp.
Red, flashing ¡ Activation area is pushed in. ¡ Transport locking device has beenactivated, preventing the appliance from being accidentally switched on when in the travel case. ¡ Temperature is too high.

6 Basic operation
Basic operation
6.1 Switching on the appliance
▶ Press and hold for 1 second. If the white plasma indicator is lit up, the appliance is ready for operation.

6.2 Switching off the appliance
▶ Press and hold for 1 second.
Note: If you are not using the appliance, it will switch off after 5 minutes.
6.3 Charging the appliance
Once charged, your appliance can be used for up to 60 minutes.
Note: Only charge with included power supply unit S005BYV0500100 EU plug or S005BYB0500100 UK plug.
▶ Use the USB charging cable to connect the appliance and the charging adapter and then connect to the power supply. → Fig. 3
When the appliance is charged, the white battery indicator lights up and the appliance switches off after 5 minutes.
Note: The appliance will be charged after 3-4 hours.
6.4 Operating the appliance
ATTENTION!
Fabric may become discolored if an area is treated too long.
▶ Always keep the appliance moving. Treating fabric that is too wet may cause small burn marks.
▶ Only treat dry or slightly damp fabrics.
1. Gently press the appliance on the fabric until the activation area is pushed in. → Fig. 4
The 5 cm wide plasma treatment area must be in full contact with the fabric. The activation area must be pushed right in.
The plasma will be activated automatically and the plasma indicator will light up purple.
2. Keeping the appliance pressed down, slowly wipe over the areas producing the odor three to four times.→ Fig. 5
Always keep the appliance moving and then shake out the fabric treated.
Tips
¡ To treat an area intensively, wipe more often and more slowly over this area.
¡ Treat the clothing both on the inside and outside, particularly with strong odors, thicker fabrics, or over seams.
¡ Sweat odors are best removed by treating the inside of the clothing.
Note: Odours from impregnated fabrics are difficult to remove.
Cleaning and servicing
To keep your appliance working efficiently for a long time, it is important to clean and maintain it carefully.
 Cleaning agents

ATTENTION!
Using unsuitable cleaning agents or incorrect cleaning may damage the appliance.
▶ Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning agents.
▶ Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol or spirits.
▶ Only clean the appliance with a soft cloth without any cleaning agent.
▶ Do not use any sharp, pointed or metal objects.
7.2 Cleaning the appliance
ATTENTION!
Moisture that gets in can damage the appliance.
▶ Never clean the appliance with a wet cloth.
1. Clean the appliance with a soft cloth without any cleaning agent.
2. To ensure the even generation of plasma, clean the plasma treatment area with a soft cloth without any cleaning agent. → Fig.

If heavily soiled, the plasma treatment area can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.

Troubleshooting

You can rectify minor faults on your appliance yourself. Read the troubleshooting information before contacting the after-sales service. This will avoid unnecessary costs.

Fault Cause and troubleshooting
The appliance is not working. Battery indicator lights up red. The appliance is not charged.

The appliance does not switch on. Plasma indicator flashing red. The activation area is pushed in.
1. Release the activation area.
2. If the activation area is already in contact with the
fabric, lift the appliance briefly.
3. If you have accidentally activated the activation area
while holding the appliance, release this area.
The appliance does not switch on. The appliance is not charged.

Odor reduction is not functioning as usual. Plasma is not activating and the plasma indicator remains
white.
▶ Press the appliance more firmly onto the fabric.
The plasma treatment area is soiled and is not generating
even plasma.
▶ Clean the appliance regularly. → Page 22
Plasma generation does not stop after lifting the appliance. The activation area sticks and does not automatically spring back out.
1. Release the activation area.
2. If the activation area is already in contact with the fabric, lift the appliance briefly.
3. If you have accidentally activated the activation area
while holding the appliance, release this area.
The appliance is not charging. Ambient temperature is too high or too low.
▶ Charge the appliance in a warmer or colder environment.
The appliance is not supplied with power.
▶ Connect the appliance to the power supply.
▶ Check the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
The appliance emits a pulsing sound during
use. The plasma indicator lights up purple.
The fabric is too damp.
▶ Leave the fabric to dry.
Plasma indicator flashing purple. Excessively damp fabric treated longer than 1 second.
▶ Leave the fabric to dry.
Plasma indicator switches to white during operation. Movement is insufficient or a change in movement is detected.
▶ Move the appliance faster over the fabric.
Appliance flashing red. Ambient temperature is too high or too low.
Appliance flashing red. ▶ Use the appliance in a warmer or colder environment.

9.1 Transporting the appliance
When flying, you can transport the appliance in your hand luggage. You should not use the appliance during a flight.
9.2 Removing the battery
Integrated batteries may only be removed for disposal by trained staff.
Note: Opening the housing shell can irreparably damage the appliance.
1. Activate the plasma until the battery is fully discharged.
2. Use a screwdriver to remove the locking pin.
3. Prise open the housing shell and remove the battery.
4. To prevent a short circuit, disconnect the battery connections individually and then isolate the terminals one after the other.
Note: Even if the battery is fully discharged, it still has a residual capacity, possibly resulting in leakage in the event of a short circuit.
9.3 Disposing of batteries
Batteries should be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not dispose of the batteries in the household rubbish.

According to the European Guideline 2006/66/EC, defective or used battery packs/ batteries must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
9.4 Disposing of old appliance
Valuable raw materials can be reused by recycling.
▶ Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner.
Information about current disposal methods is available from your specialist dealer or local authority.
This appliance is labeled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU concerning used electrical and electronic appliances (waste electrical and electronic equipment – WEEE). The guideline determines the framework for the return and recycling of used appliances as applicable throughout the EU.
10 Customer Service
If you have any queries, are unable to rectify faults on the appliance yourself or if your appliance needs to be repaired, contact Customer Service. Function-relevant genuine spare parts according to the corresponding Ecodesign Order can be obtained from Customer Service for a period of at least 7 years from the date on which your appliance was placed on the market within the European Economic Area.

Details regarding these conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee.
