CAPACITIES

WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, do not overload the cabinet.

Floor Cabinet

  • The maximum weight for each shelf in a door should be no more than 7 lbs.
  • The maximum weight for each full shelf in the cabinet should be no more than 100 lbs.
  • The maximum product weight, including contents, should be no more than 600 lbs.

Wall Cabinet

  • The maximum weight for a shelf in the cabinet should be no more than 50 lbs.
  • The maximum product weight, including contents, should be no more than 150 lbs when mounted directly to wall studs.

Base Cabinet

  • The maximum weight for each drawer should be no more than 100 lbs.
  • The maximum weight for each shelf should be no more than 100 lbs.
  • The maximum product weight, including contents, should be no more than 800 lbs.

General Safety Rules for Cabinets and Chests

CAUTION: Read and follow all Safety Rules and Operating Instructions before assembly and first use of this product.

DANGER:

  • DO NOT stand on this product. You may fall or cause the product to tip.
  • DO NOT open more than one drawer at one time. The product may become unstable and tip.
  • DO NOT step in the drawers. You may fall or cause the product to tip.
  • DO NOT mount this product on a truck bed or any other moving object.

WARNING:

  • DO NOT alter this product in any manner. For example, do not weld external lock bars or attach electrical equipment.
  • Keep the product on level surfaces. The product may become unstable and tip if stored or moved on an uneven surface.
  • Wall and floor cabinets MUST be attached to a stud in a wood frame wall. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
  • Hardware is provided for wood frame wall use only.
    Concrete or other surfaces will require other hardware (not provided). Use appropriate hardware per your local building codes. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
  • DO NOT allow unsupervised children to play on or with the cabinet. Failure to adhere to instructions regarding restrictions to the number of open drawers (even when empty) could cause a tip over, resulting in serious injury or death.

CAUTION:

  • This product is not designed to be directly lifted with a forklift or to be towed with any mechanical devices.
  • DO NOT exceed the maximum weight capacity for each drawer or shelf.
  • Distribute contents of loaded drawers evenly. DO NOT position all contents of a drawer in the front portion of the drawer.
  • This product should be empty when transporting by vehicle. Properly secure when transporting.
  • DO NOT exceed maximum product weight, including contents. See Capacities for more information.
  • As with all metal products, this product can contain burrs and sharp edges. Wear protective gloves during assembly.
  • Use adequate manpower when assembling and moving this unit. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.

ASSEMBLY

NOTE: Not all assembly instructions will relate to your model.
Floor Cabinet
Lock Bracket Mounting (Fig. B)
Items needed

  • 1/4‑20 x 3/4” Button Head Screw (Qty: 2)
  • 1/4‑20 Serrated Flange Nut (Qty: 2)
  • Shelf Bracket (Qty: 1)
  • 5/32 Hex Key
  • 7/16” Socket
  • Socket Wrench

Process

  1. Install the leveling feet. Please refer to Assembling the Leveling Feet under the Assembly section.
  2. Mount bracket  2  to unit using (2) 1/4‑20 x 3/4” button head screws  3  and (2) 1/4‑20 serrated flange nuts  .
  3. Adjust shelf bracket for lock cam to latch.

Mounting Bracket Assembly (Fig. C, D)

Items needed

  • 1/4‑20 x 3/4” Button Head Screw (Qty: 1)
  • 1/4‑20 Serrated Flange Nut (Qty: 1)
  • Mounting Bracket (Qty: 1)
  • 5/32 Hex Key
  • 7/16” Socket
  • Socket Wrench
  • 14‑10 x 3” Hex Screw Qty: 1)

Process
NOTE: Mounting bracket  5  may be mounted on either side of the cabinet. Mounting shown on left side.

  1. Place the mounting bracket in desired mounting location.
  2. Mark center of mounting hole location, using slots in the bracket as a template.
  3. Remove bracket. Drill 1/8” mounting hole.
  4. Mount to the unit using (1) 1/4‑20 x 3/4” button head screw  3, and (1) 1/4‑20 serrated flange nut  4.
  5. Tighten the screws with a 5/32″ hex key.
  6. Wrench tighten all screws securely. Do not over tighten.
    WARNING: Cabinet MUST be attached to a stud in a wood frame wall. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
    Wood frame walls, concrete, or other surfaces require hardware for mounting. Use appropriate hardware per your local building codes. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
  7. Align cabinet with a stud. Adjust leveler feet  1  if needed.
  8. Drill 1/8” pilot hole.
  9. Attach cabinet to stud using appropriate screw  8 .
  10. Please refer to Leveling Foot Adjustment under the Operation section.

Shelf Placement (Fig. E)
Items needed

  • 1/4‑20 x 3/4” Button Head Screw (Qty: 8)
  • 5/32 Hex Key

Process

  1. Insert the shelf from the front of the unit.
  2. Place in desired mounting location in the back of the unit, and rotate into place.
  3. Attach using (2) 1/4‑20 x 3/4” button head screw  9 as shown.
  4. Repeat untill all (4) shelves are in place.
  5. The second shelf from the top should be placed in the fifth hole from the top for proper lock position.
  6. Tighten the screws with a 5/32″ hex key.
  7. Wrench tighten all screws securely. Do not overtighten.

Wall Cabinet

Shelf Attachment (Fig. F)
Items needed

  • 1/4‑20 x 3/4” Button Head Screw (Qty: 4)
  • 1/4‑20 Serrated Flange Nut (Qty: 4)
  • 5/32 Hex Key
  • 7/16” Socket
  • Socket Wrench

Process

  1. Place cabinet in its upright position.
  2. Insert shelf from the front of the unit.
  3. Place the side of the shelf in the desired mounting location in the side of the unit and rotate into position as shown.
  4. Attach using (4) screws, (4) nuts in mounting holes as shown.
  5. Tighten the screws with a 5/32″ hex key.
  6. Wrench tighten all screws securely. Do not overtighten.

Option 1- Mounting Cabinet (Fig. G)
NOTE: Option 1 is for hanging cabinet to Trackwall only. If hanging the cabinet directly on the wall, go to Option 2. Process

  1. Attach top and wall bracket as shown using (4) screw and (4) nuts.
  2. Tighten the screws with a 5/32″ hex key and socket wrench. Do not over tighten.
  3. Attach the wall cabinet to the Trackwall.

Option 2- Mounting Cabinet (Fig. H)

WARNING: Wall cabinet MUST be attached to two studs in a wood frame wall. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage. Use appropriate hardware per your local building codes. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
WARNING: Use two or more people to move and assemble the cabinet. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
WARNING: Cabinet must be mounted level. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.

Items needed
Mounting hardware as defined by your local building code.

Process

  1. Align wall cabinet with studs.
  2. Mark and drill (2) 1/8” pilot holes.
    NOTE: Use outside holes for mounting to studs on 24” centers.
  3. Use inside set of holes for mounting to studs on 16” centers.
  4. Attach wall cabinets to studs using appropriate hardware as defined by your local building code.

Grommet Assembly (Fig. I)

Items needed

  • Grommet (Qty: 3)

Process

  1. Place the grommet  10  in the hole.

Base Cabinet

Assembly (Fig. J)
Items Needed

  • Filler Bracket (Qty: 1)

NOTE: Filler bracket  11  is used to fill the gap between the work surface and the top of the base cabinet. If you chose not to use a work surface the filler strip is not required.

Process

  1. Install the leveling feet. Please refer to Assembling the Leveling Feet under the Assembly section.
  2. Position filler bracket flushes to the top front edge of the base cabinet, inside the weld tabs.
  3. Attach filler bracket with adhesive tape.
  4. Please refer to Leveling Foot Adjustment under the Operation section.

Work Surface

Mounting Wood Top
Process

  1. Remove wood top work surface from packaging.

Assemble Backsplash to Wood Top (Fig. K)
Items Needed

  • Backsplash (Qty: 1)
  • #14‑10 x 5/8” Hex Screw (Qty: 4)
  • 27″ Wide Unit (Qty: 4)
  • 54″ Wide Unit (Qty: 4)
  • 3/8” Socket
  • 3/8” Wrench
  • Socket Wrench

Process

  1. Attach backsplash  12  to back of work surface  13 using #14‑10 x 5/8” hex screws  14  by aligning the holes in the backsplash with the pre‑drilled holes in the back and bottom of the top.
  2. Wrench tighten all screws securely. Do not overtighten.

NOTE: Base cabinets are not as deep as floor cabinets. If you are planning to place a base cabinet next to a floor cabinet, decide if you want the base cabinet flush with the front of the floor cabinet or if you want them pushed back against the wall.

Mounting Wood Top to Base Cabinet Top (Fig. L, M)
Items Needed

  • #14‑10 x 1” Hex Screw (Qty: 2)
  • 26″ Wide Unit (Qty: 2)
  • 54″ Wide Unit (Qty: 2)
  • 3/8” Socket
  • 3/8” Wrench
  • Socket Wrench

Process

NOTE: If mounting work surface to multiple cabinets, place cabinets in position before mounting the work surface.
NOTE: If mounting work surface to a unit with drawers refers to the Operator’s Manual for that unit to remove top drawers.
This will provide access to the inside of the top of the unit.

  1. The position work surface on the top of the cabinet(s)
  2. Wrench tighten all screws securely. Do not overtighten.
  3. Reinstall drawers per base cabinet Operator’s Manual, if applicable.

Assembling the Leveling Feet (Fig. N)
Items Needed
Screw Leveler (Qty: 4)

  1. Lay the floor/base cabinet on its back. Use packaging material to protect the finish.
  2. Install (4) Screw Levelers  1 .
  3. Return the cabinet to its upright position.

NOTE: Some adjustments may be necessary after the cabinet is in the desired location.

OPERATION

Removing Drawers (Fig. O, P)

  1. Empty the drawer.
  2. Fully extend the drawer.
  3. Push the right release slide lever down  6 , then push the left release slide lever  7  up.
  4. Pull out drawer to remove.

Leveling Foot Adjustment (Fig. Q)
Adjust leveling foot  1 to the desired position with a flat head screwdriver or 7/16 open-end wrench as shown in Fig. Q.

Door Closure

Ensuring the cabinet is level (front to back) will result in the correct alignment of the doors and proper function of the magnetic door closure system.

MAINTENANCE (FIG. R)

  • Lubricate casters annually with high-quality bearing grease. Apply grease where shown.
  • Check the caster bolts annually for tightness.
  • Lubricate the slides with grease or equivalent (twice annually). Apply grease where shown.
  • Lubricate lock with graphite annually.
  • Periodically the drawer fronts, drawer trim, and other surfaces should be cleaned with a mild detergent and water.
  • Auto wax will preserve the unit’s luster finish. Apply the wax as to a car. The wax will also help protect the unit against scratches.
  • Grease and oil can be removed with most standard cleaning fluids. For safety, use nonflammable cleaning fluid.
  • It is recommended that drawer liners are used to protect the finish inside the drawers and to make the drawers easier to clean. The drawer liners may be cleaned with soap and water.
  • Corrosive materials should be cleaned up immediately to minimize damage to any surfaces.

TEN YEAR WARRANTY

FOR TEN YEARS from the date of purchase, this product is warranted against any defects in material or workmanship. With proof of purchase, a defective part will be replaced free of charge. If a replacement part is unavailable, the product will be replaced with one of equal value.
