IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future reference:

  • Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before using this Speaker.
  • Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that the unit is intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
  • Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
  • Always use this appliance on a solid, level, non-flammable surface.
  • Ensure that there is clearance of at least 100mm (4 Inches) minimum around the Speaker for sufficient ventilation.
  • Ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the Speaker.
  • Do not position the Speaker close to sources of heat such as radiators, heaters, other electronic equipment, etc.
  • The Speaker shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
  • Do not immerse the Speaker or its supply in water or any other liquids.
  • Do not leave the Speaker unattended during use.
  • Do not leave the Speaker unattended whilst connected to the USB supply.
  • Close supervision is required when using this Speaker near children.
  • Never leave this Speaker within reach of children.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Do not use this Speaker outdoors.
  • It is imperative to unplug the power supply after the Speaker has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
  • Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by qualified personnel. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
  • Do not operate this appliance after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
  • Do not allow the power cable to hang over sharp edges or come in contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not run the USB charging cable under carpets, rugs, etc.
  • This product is intended for household use only and should not be used for industrial purposes.
  • Do not use any accessories or attachments with this product other than those supplied or recommended by supplier.
  • Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use.
  • Do not push objects into any openings as damage to the product and/or electric shock may occur.

Description of Parts – Rear Panel Controls

  1. Press to change input modes.
  2. Press briefly to reduce the volume level, press and hold to skip to the previous track/set time.
  3. Press to Play/Pause/Phone (answer the phone).
  4. Press briefly to increase the volume level, press and hold to skip to the next track/set time.
  5. CLOCK – Press to enter clock settings
  6. Wireless Charging Pad.
  7. Micro SD – Micro SD/TF Card Player.
  8. Micro USB DC Port.
  9. Built-in Microphone.
  10. AUX – External 3.5mm input.
  11. ON/ OFF – Power on/off switch.
  12. Loudspeakers.
  13. USB Charging Cable.
  14. Micro USB Plug.
  15. 3.5mm Jack to Jack Lead
  16. Alarm Indicator.
  17. AM Indicator.
  18. Wireless Charge Indicator.
  19. LED Display.

Before the first time you use your Wireless Charging Speaker
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them in a safe place for future reference. Remove all packing materials and discard responsibly.

Charging the internal Battery

Before use, please ensure that the internal rechargeable battery is fully charged as follows:

  1. Insert the Micro USB Plug (14) of the USB Charging Cable (13) into the Micro USB DC Port (8) on rear panel of the Speaker to charge the internal battery.
  2. Insert the large USB plug on the other end of the USB Charging Cable (13) into a suitable USB charger rated at 5 volts 1 amp minimum.
  3. The Charging Indicator behind buttons 2 & 3 on the rear panel will light red to show the internal battery is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the Charging Indicator will go out showing that the internal battery is fully charged and the USB Charging Cable (13) can be removed.
    NB the Speaker can be used normally during charging.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Clock
  1. Move the ON/OFF switch (11) on the rear panel to the ‘ON’ position.
  2. Press and hold the mode button M (1) until the hours begin to flash on the LED Display (19).
  3. Press and hold the (2) previous and next (4) buttons to set the hour. NB Ensure the AM lndicator (17) is lit if setting the time in the morning.
  4. Briefly press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to toggle between hours and minutes.
Setting the Alarm
  1. Ensure the clock is set to the correct time (see above).
  2. Briefly press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to enter the alarm time setting.
  3. Press and hold the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) until the alarm hours flash on the LED Display (19).
  4. Press and hold the (2) previous and next (4) buttons to set the alarm hour. NB Ensure the  AM lndicator (17) is illuminated if setting the time in the morning.
  5. Briefly press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to go to the alarm minute setting.
  6. Press and hold the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to confirm the alarm time and return to the clock display. The Alarm Indicator (16) will illuminate to show the alarm is set.
  7. Once the alarm has sounded, press the CLOCK button (5) briefly once to silence the alarm.
    NB press and hold the CLOCK button (5) to set (Alarm Indicator (16) lit) and unset the alarm (Alarm Indicator (16) not lit).
Using the Bluetooth Mode 
  1. Move the ON/OFF switch (11) on the rear panel to the ‘ON’ position.
  2. Press the M button (1) until ‘bt’ appears on the LED display (19).
  3. Enable the Bluetooth mode on your Phone, Tablet or other Bluetooth compatible device and set it to search.
  4. Select ‘AVS1376’ from the search results found by your device which will now pair and the speaker will chime to confirm pairing.
  5. Enable the music player on your Phone, Tablet or other device you are using.
  6. Press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to start and stop (pause) the connected device playing.
  7. Press briefly the button (2) to reduce the volume level, press and hold to skip to the previous track.*
  8. Press briefly the button (4) to increase the volume level, press and hold to skip to the next track.*
  9. Alternatively, use your device’s controls in the usual manner.
Wireless Charging your Phone
  1. Place your phone on the top of the Charging Pad (6) with the rear of the phone towards the pad.
  2. The Wireless Charge Indicator (18) will illuminate red to indicate it is charging the phone battery wirelessly. The Wireless Charge Indicator (18) will turn green once the phone is fully charged.

Handling Telephone Calls

Answering a Call 

  1. A call coming in will mute (cut) the music you are listening to.
  2. Briefly press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to answer the call.
  3. Press briefly the button (2) to reduce the volume level.*
  4. Press briefly the button (4) to increase the volume level.*
  5. Briefly press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) again to end the call.
  6. The callers voice will be heard through the speaker and your voice will be picked up by the built in Microphone (9) at the rear of the speaker.

Rejecting a Call 

  1. A call coming in will mute (cut) the music you are listening to.
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) twice to reject the call.
Using the AUX/LINE Input

The AUX/LINE Input allows a direct wired connection of an external audio device (such as a mobile phone, music player, etc.) via a 3.5mm jack socket input on the rear Panel.

  1. Move the ON/OFF switch (11) on the rear panel to the ‘ON’ position.
  2. Insert the supplied 3.5mm Jack to Jack lead (15) into the ‘AUX’ socket (10) on the rear panel.
  3. The speaker will automatically detect the lead and switch to LINE mode, alternatively press the M button (1) until ‘LINE’ mode is selected, the word ‘LINE’ will appear on the LED display (19).
  4. Insert the other end of the lead into the device you are playing from.
  5. Briefly press the button (2) to reduce the volume level.*
  6. Briefly press the button (4) to increase the volume level.*
Playing Music from a Micro SD/TF Card
  1. Insert a Micro SD or TF card (pre-loaded with audio tracks – Mp3, WAV, files etc.) into the Micro SD Player (7) on the rear panel. NB the Micro SD/TF card player supports cards up to 32GB capacity max.
  2. The tracks on the card will begin to play automatically, alternatively press the M button (1) until SD card mode is selected, the TF/SD card track times will be shown on the LED display (19).
  3.  Press the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) to play and pause the memory card.
  4. Press briefly the button (2) to reduce the volume level, press and hold to skip to the previous track.*
  5. Press briefly the button (4) to increase the volume level, press and hold to skip to the next track.*
Using the built in FM Radio
  1. Before powering up the speaker, insert the supplied 3.5mm Jack to Jack Lead (15) into the ‘AUX’ socket (10) on the rear of the unit. Stretch the lead out and leave the other end free.
    NB the Jack to Jack Lead is used by the radio as an FM aerial.
  2. Move the ON/OFF switch (11) on the rear panel to the ‘ON’ position.
  3. Press the M button (1) until the FM radio appears on the LED display (19).
  4. Press and hold the Play/Pause/Phone button (3) and the radio will scan the FM band saving any stations found in the radio presets.
  5. Press briefly the button (2) to reduce the volume level, press and hold to skip to the previous radio preset.*
  6. Press briefly the button (4) to increase the volume level, press and hold to skip to the next radio preset.*

*Two high pitched beeps will be heard warning when the maximum and minimum volume settings have been reached.

Care and Use of your Speaker

  • Always disconnect the Speaker from the USB charging supply before cleaning.
  • Clean outside of the Speaker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not submerge the Speaker in water or any other liquids.
