 Safety

  • Read this instruction manual carefully.
  • Keep the instruction manual and the product information safe for future reference or for the next owner. Only use this appliance:
  • With genuine parts and accessories. Damage caused by using third-party products is not covered under the warranty.
  • on textiles.
  • For private use.
  • in rooms that are sufficiently ventilated.
  • Up to an altitude of max. 2000 m above sea level. Do not use the appliance:
  • On leather, metal, metallic fibers, foam, skin, hair, animals, or any other non-textile surface.

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 or over and by people who have reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or inadequate experience and/ or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and have understood the resulting dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are being supervised.

  • Supply fresh air.
  • If there are any problems, seek medical advice from a doctor.
  • If these come into contact with the skin, wash immediately with cold water.
  • If these come into contact with the eyes, seek medical help.
  • Protect the battery against fire, heat, and constant sunlight.
  • Protect the battery against water and penetrating moisture.
  •  Never open the battery.
  • Never use the appliance near your eyes or mucous membranes.
  • Keep packaging material away from children.
  • Do not let children play with packaging material.

Avoiding material damage
To avoid material damage to your appliance, accessories, or any other objects, follow these instructions.

  • Never wipe over zips, rivets, buttons, or other hard items.
  • Only treat dry or slightly damp fabrics.
  • Always keep the appliance moving.

Operating the appliance
Follow the illustrated instructions.
Notes:

  • Only charge with included power supply unit S005BYV0500100 EU plug or S005BYB0500100 UK plug.
  • Important information about potential electrical discharges when using the appliance:
    – If you do not use the appliance as intended, prickling or electrical discharges can occur in some cases and under specific circumstances.
    – These discharges are harmless for the human body yet occasionally feel unpleasant.
  • Observe the following instructions to avoid electrical discharges:
    – Always touch the silver stripes on the side of the appliance when using it.
    – Do not use the appliance on others.
    – Only use the appliance on a garment you are wearing yourself.
    – Do not use the appliance on the skin.
    – Only use the appliance on dry textiles.

Troubleshooting

You can rectify minor faults on your appliance yourself. Read the troubleshooting information before contacting the after-sales service. This will avoid unnecessary costs.

Fault Cause and troubleshooting
The appliance is not working.
The battery indicator lights up red.
The appliance is not charged.
▸ Charge the appliance.
The appliance does not switch on.
Plasma indicator flashing red.
The activation area is pushed in.
1. Release the activation area.
2. If the activation area is already in contact with
the fabric, lift the appliance briefly.
3. If you have accidentally activated the activation
area while holding the appliance, release this area.
The appliance does not switch on. The appliance is not charged.
▸ Charge the appliance.
Odor reduction is not functioning as usual. Plasma is not activating and the plasma indicator remains white.
▸ Press the appliance more firmly onto the fabric.
The plasma treatment area is soiled and is not generating even plasma.
▸ Clean the appliance regularly.
Plasma generation does not stop after lifting the appliance. The activation area sticks and does not automatically
spring back out.
1. Release the activation area.
2. If the activation area is already in contact with
the fabric, lift the appliance briefly.
3. If you have accidentally activated the activation
area while holding the appliance, release this area.
The appliance is not charging. Ambient temperature is too high or too low.
▸ Charge the appliance in a warmer or colder environment.
The appliance is not supplied with power.
▸ Connect the appliance to the power supply.
▸ Check the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
The appliance emits a pulsing sound during use.
The plasma indicator lights up purple.
The fabric is too damp.
▸ Leave the fabric to dry.
Plasma indicator flashing purple. Excessively damp fabric treated longer than 1 second.
▸ Leave the fabric to dry.
Plasma indicator switches to white during operation. Movement is insufficient or a change in movement is detected.
▸ Move the appliance faster over the fabric.
Appliance flashing red. Ambient temperature is too high or too low.
▸ Use the appliance in a warmer or colder environment.

Transporting the appliance
When flying, you can transport the appliance in your hand luggage. You should not use the appliance during a flight.
Removing the battery
Integrated batteries may only be removed for disposal by trained staff.
Note: Opening the housing shell can irreparably damage the appliance.

  1. Activate the plasma until the battery is fully discharged.
  2. Use a screwdriver to remove the locking pin.
  3. Prise open the housing shell and remove the battery.
  4. To prevent a short circuit, disconnect the battery connections individually and then isolate the terminals one after the other.

Note: Even if the battery is fully discharged, it still has a residual capacity, possibly resulting in leakage in the event of a short circuit.
Disposing of batteries
Batteries should be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not dispose of the batteries in the household rubbish.

EC, defective or used battery packs/batteries, must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.

You can make warranty claims for your appliance under the following conditions. The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our representative in the country in which it is sold. Details regarding these conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee.
