INTRODUCTION

Cuts power automatically to protect against electrocution. Suitable for all types of indoor and outdoor electrical appliances. Easy-to-use, two-button operation. No wiring needed – plugs straight into 13A socket. No need to remove from socket to reset unit.

OPERATION

  1. Insert the RCD adaptor into a fixed 13A socket and then plug the portable appliance into the RCD outlet socket.
  2. TESTING
    1. Test the RCD before each use.
    2. With the appliance connected, push the ‘Test’ button. The RCD will automatically cut the electricity supply and the indicator flag will show ‘off’
    3. To reconnect the electrical supply, press the ‘reset’ button. The outlet socket will be energised and the indicator flag will show ‘on’ (red).
  3. If the RCD disconnects the electrical power at any time, remove the unit from the outlet socket and investigate the apparent fault.
  4. If the RCD continues to trip, consult a competent electrician.

WEEE REGULATIONS

Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
